Ten years ago, Sin(X) City was rife with crime and villainy, but the government commissioned a renowned mathematician to devise an equation to solve it once and for all. Thus was created the Anti-Crime Equation, and evil was thwarted for good. But when a transferred detective is brought onto a mysterious suicide case, he must travel to the underbelly of the city to investigate.

Hilarity lurks around every corner as this black, white, and technicolour marvel probes the myriad questions at the back of your mind.

Will the sinister alleyways of Sin(X) City collapse to swallow our handsome detective whole?
Will blood run freely in the gutters once more?
Was the man on the grassy knoll actually JFK?
Did I leave the treadmill running?

Prepare yourself for an evening of fun filled songs, crazed dancing, and spectacular laughs as the Sydney University Science Revue presents its seventh show in as many years. With a reputation and our hostage writers at stake, nothing except multiple lightning strikes and tiny microbes will prevent us from bringing you comedy gold.

It's Stage Film Noir like you've never seen it before, because you've probably never seen it before. So come with us to explore the dark streets of Science Revue's Sin(X) City.

About

A revue is a variety show with skits, music and dance based around contempory news and issues, university life and the faculty or school on which it is based. The University of Sydney has had a strong revue season for many years now

The Science Revue Society was established in 2005 to showcase the talents of the students of The University of Sydney's Science Faculty through the management of the Society and production of the Revue.

In 2006, the Science Revue had its inaugural performance, 'Quantum Tunnelling for Dummies', which wowed audiences and critics, securing the Science Revue's place in The University of Sydney's Revue Program.

The Science Revue has gone from strength to strength in the years following its inaugural performance, producing high quality shows like 'Pulp Friction' in 2007, 'Radius of the Lost Arc' in 2008 and 'Jurassic Quark' in 2009. Each show is a culmination of the effort, skills and talents of the Science Revue Society's members.

This year, the Science Revue Society, with the help of its sponsors and members, is putting together a fantastic new show for the 2010 University of Sydney Revue Season, which will be in Semester 2 (exact dates to follow in the new year)

Its not too late to join in! Email producer@sciencerevue.org if you're interested in helping put together an amazing show, and have an absolute blast making it.

All annual profits are donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of NSW. This is because a founding member of the 2006 Science Revue lost a sibling to cystic fibrosis. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation provides a lot of support for both the patient and their family and the Science Revue would like to continuously support the Foundation in appreciation for all that support.
